Bio

The Beginning

Dexter was born to Laura Moser on the 31st of January, in Reggio Calabria, Italy.

His biological father's identity is unknown, as this was the second son that Laura had conceived while under the influence--the first being Brian-- but seeing as how Laura was a favorite of the Don’s for an age, there is a possibility that Dexter may have the blood of the family Vescovo running through his veins.

Dexter has known since he was very young that his mother died when he was about two years old. And although the people around him prefer to use euphemisms about how it happened, he knows that she was killed. It's one of the few facts about his life that he is certain of. His mother is dead and Dexter Morgan enjoys killing people.

Guerino Morgan, Anti-mafia Commission officer, father to Deborah and adoptive father to Dexter, had recognized early on that the boy was different. So taking him under his wing, he taught him the science of murder: how to plan it, who to kill, and most importantly how to clean up after himself when the urge to feel death became too much to control. In this way, neatly and cleanly, Dexter could kill and still be an upstanding member of the community. It all depended on the right kind of person, at the right time and in the right place.

The Present

Now, almost five years after the death of his father, and since he started killing full time, Dexter is now working for the Anti-Mafia Commission as a blood-spatter analyst. Alongside his sister, Deborah Morgan, one of the only truly good cops on the force, he fights crime; still wary of being caught and imprisoned but sick of the corruption and lack of punishment for those who really deserve it.

In everyday life, Dexter Morgan is a pleasant, witty, and charming lab worker in the forensics department. He does an impeccable job of appearing as normal as a blood spatter analyst can.

In the darkest hidden parts of his brain, he only ever has one thing in mind:

Find, hunt, and kill the worst of the worst in Reggio Calabria.
